My dear cousin Olivia just gave birth to their third little one, Marcos Edgar Cobian. He is such a little miracle. Olivia went all the way to 37 weeks and three days with him which is a record for her. Her first (Lilianna) was born at 28 weeks and her second (Ruben) at 32 (but was in distress so was still very small) weeks because of pre-eclampsia. Lily and Ruben were both almost 2 lbs when they were born and had to stay many weeks in the NICU. Everyone told Olivia that she shouldn't have another baby since with both of her earlier babies both her life and the life of the baby was at risk.
Olivia and Edgar started looking into adoption and foster care but it just never felt right. Finally they talked to a wonderful specialist named Dr. Draper who gave them the hope and the information they needed to try again. And with COMPLETE faith they went forward. It was so amazing to see little Marcos in Olivia and Edgar's arms in their room instead of in a NICU isolette.
Here are some pictures:
Little Marcos...it's amazing how much he looks like Edgar! Such a cute little guy.
Edgar and Maisy...look at the resemblance (between Marcos and Edgar of course).
Beautiful Mama and Babe
Holding little Marcos made me so excited for our little bundle of joy coming in March. It's amazing how quickly you forget how small they are when they are brand new...so light and tiny!

Another success story! How wonderful. You continue to amaze me Hannah. How do you do it all? If anyone can handle 3 little babies it is you!
Thanks for showing Marcos. I had yet to see a picture. I've heard tales that he looks like my Mark but I think he looks like Edgar too.
XOXOXO
